The Beautiful Bahamas Island of Abacos
The Beautiful Bahamas Island of Abacos

Abacos is the most popular getaway spot in the north of the Bahamas and consists of various islands and cays like Great Abaco, Elbow Cay, Great Guana Cay, Green Turtle Cay, Tilloo Cay, Lubber’s Quarters, and Treasuer Cay. These exciting destinations are all in easy access via ferry from the largest island in the Abacos, Great Abaco where the international airport is.

If you are looking for a great vacation and a place that can offer you super accommodation look no further than Abacos. There is an abundance of fabulous hotels or you can even rent a private house for the day, a week or longer. The hotels come fully equipped with pools, maid service and more, and the beach cottages are perfect for a more private setting where you can open the door and step right onto the soft sandy beaches.

This island boasts a host of information for you and your family, with interesting historic sites to visit. If you are merely coming for fun in the sun, you will be glad to know that Abacos has a variety of great family spots and fun entertainment, with the variety of shops, restaurants, and a dive center, and other sports.

You can choose to go deep sea diving and scuba diving at some of Abacos’ most amazing barrier reefs, where you and your family could have the once in a life time chance to swim with the dolphins, charter fishing, entertainment like the championship eighteen hole golf course, and fine dining at some of the relaxing beach bars and marina style restaurants. Some restaurants offer special themed evenings and dancing and entertainment.
