When preparing for a vacation it is important to protect yourself and your family before you leave town. What this means is that you take the time to talk with your children about safety precautions while you are away on vacation. There are some things that should be discussed about protecting your family before you go on vacation as well as putting some ground rules down for the vacation itself.
Children should be reminded not to post on a Xanga site or inform strangers that they are going on vacation. Remind them not to tell construction workers who are working in the neighborhood that the family is going on vacation.
