Sharing the most special Thanksgiving parade with my grandchildren

I love coming up with all kinds of really special things to do with my grandchildren for fun. Now I have more time to worry about that since my kids are grown up. I didn’t have so much time to worry about that when I was actually raising kids myself.

We were going to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City! I’ve been finalizing all of the plans for our upcoming trip and when I was looking online confirming some of that, I ran across some info on Miracle Ear. I’d looked into hearing aids before and decided that maybe now was the time to actually get fitted with some of them.

I’m not sure if the grandkids know how big of a deal it is to go and see this Thanksgiving parade. But they’re really excited about it. I’m sure they’ll get the full effect when they see all of those big floats and balloons in person! I may not even understand it until I see all of those in person. ItÕs definitely going to be a memory weÕre all going to cherish.

Our big Christmas vacation plans

Our holidays vacation getaway has been in planning now for about a month and we are excited about the upcoming time we’ll be spending with the kids in some of the finest vacation spots in America. As it stands now we are leaving Orlando Florida and moving on towards Atlanta GA in our first weekend. We’ll be in Atlanta just a few short days before we move on towards Tennessee and the great cabin rentals in Pigeon Forge. The cabin rental is for a week so we’ll have plenty of time to check out the attractions of Pigeon Forge and also the surrounding Gatlinburg area.

After our week in the Smoky Mountains we’ll be taking a road trip over to Myrtle Beach where we have a seaside vacation rental reserved for us and another family who will be meeting us there for the week. Our week long beach vacation in South Carolina should be a wonderful experience.

Family vacation getaway for the holidays

Our family holiday vacation is under way and we are well on our way to enjoying a nice welcomed break this holiday season. We are planning a road trip to South Carolina with stops in Pigeon Forge and Myrtle Beach as well.

yes, we are basically going to be taking a double vacation and hitting two of the most popular travel destinations on the east coast. Our Christmas vacations are generally shorter and faster but this year we are making the road trip a dual purpose event with a holiday vacation for the family and a working vacation for dad as I make contact with some of my better clients and meet face to face with some of these web guys I work with.

It should be quite the adventure as we get the family loaded up for a whirlwind tour of the coastline and great American cities from our launch point in Orlando Florida and on to our many travel destinations in America. Is anyone else planning a family holiday get together vacation? Where are you traveling too?
